I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in #sharethemicnowwritersedition volume 3 with author Willow Ford. This author and social worker from Philadelphia touched my spirit during our conversation. On Sunday, November 1st, we discussed Willow’s wisdom and hope in her community and other communities in America, being an author, family porch oral storytelling, her novel The Fabian Experiment, and her daily readings.

I’ve never been more touched by one woman’s wisdom and hope.

I’m thrilled to be part of #sharethemicnowwritersedition with the amazing poet and fiction writer @authorchantalroache . On Saturday, August 1st, I shared my Insta platform with Chantal. Please give her a warm welcome and take the opportunity to be introduced to her writing and passions. Chantal gave me the incredible honor of reading one of her newly written poems today. As #writers you know how difficult it is to share a brand new piece with another, especially someone you don’t really know. I’m in awe of her bravery. Her writing is alluring, graceful, and raw. Leisa read Windshield out of Bright Bones: Contemporary Montana Writing in Butte, Montana at the Imagine Butte Resource Center in the Phoenix Block Building on Saturday, June 23, at 2pm. It was exciting to have my very first reading in the town I was born.

My creative nonfiction story Windshield is featured in the anthology.
