I began my writing life as a nontraditional student earning a degree in creative writing from University of Montana. I’m currently querying my completed memoir EARLY OUT- a story of a mid-thirties mother who undergoes weight loss surgery and comes-of-age as her two gay sons come out in a Mormon community.

My current WIP is a fiction novel set in the Roaring 20’s through the Golden Age of Cinema. This novel is loosely based on my grandfather’s passion for music and his life in Hollywood on the silver screen.

I’m the founder and editor-in-chief of Indie It Press, a platform for indie artists who struggle with imposter syndrome. We offer creative support and skills to help artists set aside that nagging inner monologue in order to succeed and continue to flourish in their artistic endeavors.

Our mission is to support indie artists from multiple mediums, inclusive of all from diverse backgrounds, in order to inspire creation, promote creative growth, and establish a community that supports and advocates independent creativity.

I was born in Butte and live in Missoula, Montana with my husband where you can find us on backroad jeep rides, or as co-hosts recording a podcast.

My other writing consists of: Weightless, a short story, published on WOW! Women on Writing, and a runner up in WOW! Q4 2019 Creative Nonfiction Essay Contest; Making the Men featured in We Leave The Flowers Where They Are, an anthology of 41 brave Montana women’s true stories; Windshield featured in Bright Bones: Contemporary Montana Writing; the short online essays Brother Townsend and A Jamboree Family; and The Beckett Syndrome a one act play.
